While blockchain may have initially been heralded as a solution for decentralization and security, it has since been co-opted by massive corporations and governments. The very essence of its purpose has been compromised.
As for DLT, its potential for disrupting traditional financial systems has been overshadowed by its complexity and lack of real-world scalability.
Our excitement for these technologies must be tempered by the sobering reality of their limitations and misappropriation.
